as The Weaver of Grass says, join the club! I get up, shower, get dressed, clean my teeth, dry my hair, put on makeup and then ... I just want to climb right back into bed again! It's called Getting On a Bit (I mean, in age!) I promised myself I'd do housework today ... I'm still promising myself, and it's almost lunch time ... Margaret P
Being disabled this happens to me all the time. Leslie Nielson, the actor, was quoted as saying, "Doing nothing is very hard - you never know when you're finished". So at least we're working very hard at it.
I love your blog---thank you so much for visiting which brought me here. You are interesting and have a good grip on all things relevant in our crazy world. Read a few posts back. Yes, that recipe is nuts...people fall for shortcuts and they sacrifice freshness and real ingredients. The book, The Simple Home sounds wonderful. Wonder if I can get it here in the states.
I'm glad it's not just me that feels like this. I'm forever moaning at hubby to put things away after him, if he did his bit i would at least be part way to not having to repeat my chores constantly haha x x
So it's not just me then? You are so right, round one takes me until nearly lunchtime, and then before I know it, it's time to begin round two of almost the same things. Is it any wonder that the sewing, painting, projects don't get done until after sun down. I love the little painting, that I'll send to my daughter, a young mum who doesn't get out of her PJ's some days. Lol.
Join the club - and if you find a cure let me know.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I'm there! Even got the black cat ;-)
