Sausages and Hampers

Hamper to Peebles in Scotland.
~
Lovely Hubby set off for Scotland yesterday to spend some time with his Mum and family up there and to pick up our new baby Large Black on the way home. One which we are having great difficulty thinking up a name for (any suggestions. they must start with an 'L', to match up with Lulu and Lottie).
With him he took a hamper of our freshest vegetables, some eggs and some pork and sausages from our lovely Betty.

Speaking of sausages we have 54 packs in total made up from all of the off cuts of the joints and chops, which LH picked up before setting off on his mammoth drive up the motorway. LH will be busy selling the majority of these at work next week. Everyone loves 'Betty' meat. I can see this being a regular thing now, but we'll not keep the next meat pigs so long.

~

And for breakfast before he left.....well it just had to be sausages didn't it.

Speaking of sausages, again......I'm off to feed the pigs now. While you can sit and muse over a name for our new little piggy. If anyone comes up with the winning suggestion I feel a prize in the offing........Ooops....she's a girl by the way. The boars are arriving in the next two weeks and they are called Jack (Black) and Monty (Halls).

Have a lovely day.

  3. How about "Little" as in "this little piggy..."

There's the bonus that she will be little to start with, and then if she grows big it is an ironic name!!

  4. How about Lavender, but probably not Lavvie for short, haha! Seems to fit in with your lifestyle somehow.

  11. How about Loralie (Latin, means laurel garland)or Leticia/Letitia (again Latin, means Joy) or perhaps Lorelei (Teutonic - meaning Legendary Siren!) perhaps she will be! Good luck with the choosing. Just found your blog. It is great, with lots of lovely things happening and so much information. We have just got 6 hens, never kept any before. Can't wait for them to start laying. They are 19 weeks old, so will it be soon? I hope so. All the best. Ann
