Holding Fire .... but Tempted

You can only imagine how much this picture means to me.  To see the polytunnel filling up with all my growing accoutrements is good for my soul.

Little by little everything is being cleaned and moved over ready for action.

And believe me it is taking all my strength not to plunge in and get planting.  We have had a couple of mornings of really hard frost on this patch of hillside, so I am holding fire for another week before I tempt fate and begin putting those defenceless little seeds into compost.

Although I have just treated myself to a couple of propagator lids to fit my large green trays, so I will be in action very soon.  Then at last these green fingers will stop twitching.  :-)

  1. Looking great and you are all ready to go as soon as it warms up. I've got some seedlings coming on in the greenhouse, but only because it's heated. Its so good to finally get on with things in the garden :)

  3. Looking great Sue, do you listen to Gardener's Question Time? on today's repeat I heard what sounded like a good tip for catching the condensation from the inside of PTs into a water butt for re-use.

  8. You are a fair bit North of me, we have had a few light frosts, but none for several days. My seeds are well on their way and some will be pricked out into 3"pots today.

  9. Exciting. It's always tempting to start something new a little too early. Better sit on those twitching fingers.

  12. So pleased you finally have them up and running :) Mine is tidy at the moment ( because I have just tidied it and moved overwintering hen and guinea pig runs outside) but it won't be like that for long. I love the look of a new polytunnel :)
