It Just Says It All .....

My favourite magazine 'The Simple Things' dropped through the letter box last week, the back cover just says it all doesn't it :-)

There's something else I need though and I haven't got at the moment ..... my poor little car. It developed an oil leak last week and it took 6 litres of oil to get me back from Berkshire last weekend. It is currently in the garage being made better by a man who can.

As you can see in the picture, Lovely Hubby tried .... but couldn't :-(

Aww bless him, at least he tried! I would also need knitting needles and a ball of wool on that sign, maybe a dog too!

I agree with Bridget, but would add some material as well!! Car's nowadays are a mystery as they are all computerized.

My hubby is not a car repair man either. If something goes wrong with our car, it's off to the mechanic. His other talents make up for it. Great quote, by the way.

Agree with the quote, I used it on my facebook page not so long ago, and yes maybe dogs should be on there, and chocolate and wine? Hope your car gets better soon.

Sue poor you no car. It is always when you need them they go wrong. My garage know us well as our cars are getting old now.Well they have always been old, so one or the other always in every few months.

It is soooo true. We spent all of Monday out in the garden with our chooks, it felt so good to be back out there enjoying the sunshine and the cool breeze and feeling the soil between my fingers again *sigh* pure bliss, although my legs are still feeling the strain of it all today (it was worth it though) I hope your little car is all fixed now. I'm playing catych up today so hopefully I will be able to find out soon x x x x

This was my Blog, just me writing about our day to day life learning all about and then living the smallholding life. First we started on a farm in Oxfordshire, then we moved to a smaller place in Berkshire (both in England) and then we found a place of our very own at the bottom of a hillside in North Wales. Along for the ride were all our various animals, and we ended up with just our dogs, Suky and Mavis, our cat Ginger .... who secretly thinks he's one of the canine gang, a sheep called Ethel who wandered in off the road and stayed... and a roving band of egg laying chickens that live cheek by jowl with the local wildlife.

We grow our own fruit and vegetables, selling surplus plants and edibles at the gate. We sell the eggs the chickens lay, we reuse, recycle and rethink ... and life ticks over at a pace that suits us.

It was simply the wild and wacky ramblings of a 50 something townie turned country girl called Sue, who lost her heart to a sailor and started a new life in the country .... many years ago. On a path that took us from Cumbria to Oxfordshire, to Berkshire and then we found our home at the bottom of a wet and windy Welsh hillside by a busy main road.

Pull up a chair, grab a coffee and relax into a world of dogs, cats, chickens, polytunnels and veggies with the occasional grass munching sheep thrown in for good measure.
