Seeds Up, Pounds Down

My special offer free seeds arrived this weekend, how quick was that then!!

I only signed up for the magazine subscription that meant I got £36 worth of free seeds for spending £36 on the subscription midway through last week.  It's nice that a gardening magazine realises that getting promised seeds to a gardener with itchy green fingers quickly is positively vital.

And yes, I did check that I got my £36 worth  ;-)

I am now going to spend a happy hour sorting through ALL my seeds and I have a lot.  I have my own, my inherited seeds from Dad and now all these lovely new ones.  It's going to be a very happy hour indeed.

In other news ... it's Weight-loss Monday, I refuse to call it anything other than that, I must go down.  It will happen every week until I get to my first target of 12st.  I apologise for those of you who don't really care what I weigh but I am determined to hold myself totally accountable.

Just 2lbs down this week .....

... but it does mean that this is the last time that you or I will see the number 13 appearing on these scales.

(If it subsequently all goes to pot I will now have to purchase some new scales to make that statement the truth!!)

  2. Well done Sue, I have been gaining and losing half a stone for ages, you would think it had got the message that it is unwelcome by now.

  5. We'll done Sue losing weight is not easy. I'm trying to get in the right frame of mind to tackle my 12lb. Perhaps doing it on blogger like you may be the answer. Keep the good work going.

  8. It's your blog, if someone doesn't want to read about your weight loss they should stop reading. I must do lots better at this weight loss, gaining is so easy for me, losing not at all. Cheryl

  10. Good luck with your weight loss - I'd love to do it alongside of you. I need to lose 30 more pounds before the end of summer (why you ask? well because I really need to, I'm weighing in at 249 pounds and want to be less than 220 by my birthday and also because, health wise, my knees need the weight off before I can do a really good walking program, now I use a cane because my knees hurt.) I love your choice of seeds for the garden - it took me awhile to realize that courgettes are our zucchini squash - I love them and eat them sliced in fritattas (potatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, 1 link of chicken apple maple saugage, 2 scrambled eggs poured over all in the fry pan. Its been awhile since I checked in on your blog and now must go back and read your older posts, something I'm looking forward to. Take care, enjoy your life and smile, always smile.
