In the words of Britney .....

... Oops I did it again!!

But I didn't play with anyone's heart ... I bought some more books.

Clare Balding's and Vivienne Westwood's books were from the British Heart Foundation shop, and the other three came from a brilliant little discount book shop that we have in Llandudno, called 'Bookwise'.    They often have really good books in there that are across the road in Waterstones for full price, but they sell them for a fraction of the cost.

It would be so wrong of me not to support some of our local shops, so I did this for the sake of the local economy.  Although while saying this .... I did manage to get books with a  total cover price of a of £111.99 for just £18.97.

And I now own 624 books !!

Nope ... I don't feel guilty in the slightest   :-)

  7. But Sue, the SAVINGS on those books! Fantastic! And as much as minimalism is good for the soul, so are books. We are finally in a house that we can use one of the bedrooms as a library - bliss! Just a book lined room with two leather armchairs (2nd hand), throws, cushions and a table lamp - I'm in heaven.

  9. Also love your blog. I have a severe cookery book buying problem, so much so that I have run out of room on my shelves to store them. I have been banned from buying any more. Yesterday I sneaked a chicken cookery book in. I recently got rid of a load of books which I stored under the bed in boxes as my OH bought me a Kindle and I am reading a lot of books on it. But I have found that you never remember the name of the book you are reading as it is different to picking up a book and opening it. It is just not the same. But I cannot complain as it was a present. I miss picking up books and turning pages.

  10. Oops l did it again too! Bought more books. A gorgeous gardening book and one on mountain hiking. So great and so reduced in price that it would have been a sin not to have bought them ;)! Enjoy your read, Pam in Norway.
