If Lovely Hubby looks tired in this picture it's because it was eleven o'clock at night and he had just worked all day and then driven over 300 miles to bring me this lovely surprise
I was instantly smitten and the girls, Rosy and Suky welcomed her with just a modicum of suspicion.
She is called Charley and she is a second generation Chug. Both her parents are Chugs ... that is they are Chihuahua cross Pugs .... and she is GORGEOUS.
A lovely little handful of puppy charm.
That whizzes around like a miniature live wire and then crashes and sleeps. She takes every new experience in her stride and accepts everything.
She has come from a brilliant background. The lovely guys Lovely Hubby bought her from own both the parent dogs and once they heard on the grapevine that there was a chance we would buy her and that we already owned a Pug, had turned down a couple of what they considered to be unsuitable homes, and kept their fingers crossed we would be tempted .... we were.
You know they care when she comes with a lovely gift bag like this ...
... and a matching flower for her collar :-)
Suky has gone all motherly ....
... and Rosy just wants her to know who's boss, but in a nice way.
In the couple of days that we have had her she has settled in really well. It must be so strange for her to be away from her brothers and sisters and her Mum and Dad, and the people she has known since birth but she is coping wonderfully.
And after a trip to the vets for her first vaccination, she is sleeping peacefully at my feet as I type this.
Charley Chug ... welcome to our family ... you will be loved.
Sue xx
She's adorable & looks happy x
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute face! Good luck with her and I hope the other two will be fine with her arrival.
ReplyDeleteShe's so gorgeous! What a lovely hubby you have :)
ReplyDeleteShe is cute! Never heard of a Chug before,, does that mean she will grow to the size of a Pug or a Chihuahua?
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous little pup. Reminds me of nearly a year ago when I brought my mini schnauzer here from the breeder. He is now full grown and fairly well trained! I am looking after a tibetan terrier aged 9 months and a large bearded collie this afternoon…..so I shall be able to see what it is like to have 3 dogs!! Aaargh! ( The 2 young ones play fight all the time)
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable! What a lucky dog to have such a lovely home.x
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteShe's lovely.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely little girl !!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of her standing in the doorway- surveying Her new Territory ?!?... made me chuckle !!
Has she met everyone in Chicken world yet ?
xoxo
She's peeped very warily through the fence, she could squeeze through ... but I think she thought better of it!!
DeleteShe is GORGEOUS! x
ReplyDeleteHow big will she grow, just a bit smaller than Suky?
Bless your Hubby, i trust he had a bit of a lie in the next day?
LH says her Mum was more Chihuahua like and quite small, and Dad was more like a Pug although smaller than Suky, although both are crosses. I guess looking at her bone structure she will end up a little bit smaller than Suky ..... who's Mum was a large Pug like her.
DeleteLucky pup, lucky you. She is adorable I hope that all continues to go well. OH WHAT FUN!
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous, nothing makes you smile like a puppy and a kitten. I can't wait to hear all her naughty adventures as I'm sure she'll have plenty. What a gift you lucky lady xx

DeleteSweet! My mum is going to look at some 12 day old puppies this afternoon with a view to obtaining her third dog. I'm hoping to go with her, luckily I don't have any money to leave a deposit for one! They are Bichon Frises. Feeling all warm and gooey inside looking at your new addition!
ReplyDeleteawwwww a chug and a pug :-)

ReplyDeleteOkay....awwww! So cute. My pup is now 14 months, and is finally settling down. Too much energy!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhhh, I want one. I just love these little puggy dogs but I don't think our 5 cats would appreciate it so I'll just have to keep following your posts to get my fix.

what a sweetie, she will have a lovey home with you and LH. (We have a tri-colour border collie who is invited to a play date tomorrow with a young border collie who has her own paddock to play in, I do hope that they get on!)

Oh my goodness gracious! How precious! I had never seen a Chug. Here's to long, lovely days and plenty of antics.
ReplyDeleteAwww-so sweet! There's nothing cuter than a new puppy!
ReplyDeleteAt almost a year old, our puppy Tilly is still running around wildly doing parkour on the furniture at a frantic speed and then collapsing in a heap at our feet. It is so funny. She could do it several times a night. Enjoy your new bundle of joy. That is one lucky dog.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and gorgeous! Enjoy xxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous pup - enjoy !! Those soft little ears awwwww...
