We bought all the animals a new toy each for Christmas ... yes we are soft like that!!
The dogs each got a tough, squeak included toy of their favourite type and are each looking after the one they got. We bought Ginger a little furry mouse that squeaked on moving in a most realistic way. Unfortunately, with two Jack Russells in the house it didn't last very long.
But he loved it while it was his.
They look as if butter wouldn't melt in their mouths don't they ..... but one of them was responsible for the complete annihilation of the little toy mouse that we found with it's parts neatly lined up for inspection on the floor !!

Lol...our Smudge got nearly as many presents as we did. Including three tough toys. All are now gutted and squeakless looking very sorry for themselves in his toy box.

ReplyDeleteSweet little faces of innocence from your 3 little girls, x
ReplyDeleteSTrange things with toys cats....we had a cat that had a mouse on a string. Wasn't interested in the mouse, but the pink ring at the the other end of the cord was an endless distraction.
ReplyDeleteWhat me mum? Look at those 'innocent' faces! Our boy disregards all toys apart from rolled up balls of paper. Since we got him as a six month old rescue cat we have bought him allsorts but he looks at them with disdain and ignores them. He is a funny boy but we love him!
ReplyDeletelovely picture of your dogs. They are definitely innocent of the terrible crime ! Poor Ginger.
ReplyDeleteJust been looking .....you have taken some really good photo's of your little animal family. They all seem to like having their pictures taken.
ReplyDeleteNope they don't .... it takes about twenty or more shots to get one that I can use on the blog .... thank goodness for digital cameras :-)
DeletePoor cat...Will you get him something else to play with?
ReplyDeleteNo, he usually find himself things to play with. He does have a jar full of catnip that we bought at Christmas for him, so that will be sprinkled around occasionally.
DeleteMy husband would remove the squeak from both the dog and childrens toys alike. They drove him mad. Lol
ReplyDeletePoor Ginger. Maybe he needs a catnip toy to have in his bed on the freezer.
ReplyDeleteJack Russell's are all the same. Ours had a soft, squeaky toy for Christmas and it didn't last much beyond the Queen's speech.
ReplyDeletePoor Ginger! He should get a replacement toy, I think.
ReplyDeleteI tried to do that with his things, but in typically pussycat fashion he gets the most pleasure from batting them off and onto the floor, then when his game is over the dogs have access to his toys.
ReplyDeleteWho could possibly think that they were to blame for the mouse, look at them so innocent. lol

One of our cats used to enjoy a game of fetch with a ball made out of tinfoil!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a new toy, nothing like a dog! xx

For my Christmas present I had a dead rat tastefully arranged on its back, paws in the air in the middle of the sitting room carpet courtesy of my two Jack Russells. Bless them!
