The current building, or maybe I should call it excavation work at the moment, is throwing up lots of huge boulders. Some of them have left the site with the 50 trailer loads of earth that was dug out, but we didn't want to pay to have them all taken away, so some of them have been relocated .....
... much to the animals astonishment.
Each time a new rock joins our mini 'stonehenge' the dogs immediately spot the difference and climb all over it, checking it out very carefully.
And so does Ginger ..... can you play 'spot the cat' in this photo?
The little dumper truck that carries them over to the end of the paddock came under close scrutiny the first time it was spotted parked in the field too.
So cute!!
A panoramic shot of our entrance as it is at the moment.
Work starts next week on the retaining wall that will hold back what is left of the hillside. Once this is up and solid, the garage and workshop building work will begin. I'm starting to see there is light at the end of this long, building marathon.

I love how ginger is so involved !
ReplyDeleteOh he's everywhere. No matter what we or the dogs are up to, Ginger is watching :-)
DeleteSo cute, I can't wait until we can have a dog again. In the mean time we are enjoying the three collie puppies next door. I wish we had big toys to help with our gardening project.
ReplyDeleteThey do speed this up, there's no way to do what we are doing without them!!
DeleteLooking forward to seeing the next developments. Do you have a plan on paper? Good luck.
DeleteGinger is having a great time, right! Sue, you have more building projects going on than we do, building a new house. Such fun to see the changes, so we will look for updates.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad we are having a break for major works, our last home was a building site for years, it should look great when you have it done :-)
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great! You have accomplished so much in such a little time. Love all the pet pictures.
ReplyDeleteIts all coming along nicely, how long do you think it will be before all your projects are finished?
ReplyDeleteEverything should be finished by the end of the year .... thank goodness!!
DeleteGreat to see lots of progress, I love before, durings and afters, where you can see how far you have travelled on the improvements road :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not just me with the toys on site I see! Have you driven one yet?
ReplyDeleteThey are not ours to drive unfortunately :-(
DeleteI can imagine the locals saying " wonder what they are doing now!"
ReplyDeleteLike the cat on dumper pics
We get asked about things everywhere we go, and some of the locals read the blog so they get regular updates and no doubt spread the word :-)
DeleteLove the cat pictures. They get so involved don't they/
ReplyDeleteFrom Margie in Toronto - what a lot of work you have done - and still have on your schedule. You have been so organized about everything and just get on with it. It will be an amazing spot when all done!
