Remember the sad tale of Nellie and Nora, well some stories DO have happy endings.
After Nellies' switch to being Norman, life has got better by the day. After a slow start with the ladies, he is now in the very priviledged position of being loved by two of the girls with a devotion that is sweet to see, one Hyline and one Speckledy think the world of him and he nows sleeps side by side with the un-named Speckledy, in fact her name could be 'Norman's Number One'.

The others all give him a level of respect only someone this handsome deserves.

(The only thing I have to watch is that Lovely Hubby picked Norman up last week and realised what he weighs.....I could almost see a cartoon thought bubble above his head with a picture of Norman popping his head out of a giant chicken pie!!)

What a gorgeous looking chap! Could his "wonky gait" be more of a swagger now? :)
ReplyDeleteHaha....quite possibly Claire.....that is until he breaks into a run and you see just how wonky he is!!

"After Nellies' switch to being Norman, life has got better by the day"...I have a girlfriend like that- well at least she was a girl friend, but I'm sure life for her is also better now- she went from Janet to John, like in the titles of the old childerens school books, which always makes me smile because I don't know whether the ironic play on words was intentional!

these things take their time for chickens just like humans I suspect !
ReplyDeleteYay Dillon gets his stitches out today !
" Walkies anyone ? " !!!
I loved the Janet and John books at primary school....I hope she's as happy as Norman. So glad Dillon's on the mend Penny :-). xx
ReplyDeleteCoo he is a fine chap Sue. Made me laugh about the chicken pie!!! x
ReplyDeleteHe is much more handsome as a Norman than when he was a Nellie!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tale. Norman looks as happy as can be now. Jane. xx
ReplyDeleteHi - great to meet you - not sure how, but I just came across your blog (as one does) and it seems a good place to stop for a cuppa! Turqoise eh? I remember our last house had a turqoise bathroom suite - in perfect condition too - cast iron bath etc none of your cheap plastic type! The matching tiles were a tad overpowering put hubby replaced them with white ones with thin pastel shades running through - it looked great!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! Will be a regular now.
