To the Right and to the Left

If you look to the right it's all blue sky and sunshine ....

... but I think it's time to grab that last bit of washing in .... because if you look to the left it's not so good!!

Our weather here can change in an instant being nestled in the valley as we are.  Clouds roll in and clouds roll out, usually leaving us a gift of rain as they pass, but after almost three years of living here I have got used to the subtle changing of the light or the feel of the air, and nine times out of ten the washing is rescued from the line before it gets a second rinse from the skies.

Meanwhile, in the conservatory tucked up and not caring one jot about the weather, Ginger raised his head briefly as he heard me come in and then went back to pussycat dreams on his fleece covered pillow on the windowsill.

It's a hard life being a pussycat  :-)

  1. You do live in such a lovely place, Wales is going to be one of the options for us when we do our last move after son has finished uni, we had 2 weeks there a few years ago and loved it, and also you get a lot for your money. I spotted dear little Mavis in the top photo. Ginger looks snug. I often think when my time comes, I would like to come back as a cat or dog x

    1. You do get a lot for your money here, and yes it's a lovely area to live. We were very open minded when we were looking for a place of our own and viewed all over England and Wales.

Haha ... there's usually a little furry face that I don't spot, somewhere in my photos :-)

  3. You have outstanding views ... I wouldn't mind waking up every morning and being able to look at your view, whatever the Welsh weather throws at you. Lucky Ginger - all animals deserve a good home (I don't suppose they realise how lucky they are). Kind regards, Louise S, Cheshire.

    1. We do, they are spectacular whatever the weather, well except for when the mist comes rolling down and we can't even see across the road :-)

I don't suppose they do, except in Mavis's case ... but we don't mind being taken for granted ;-)

  4. Even in non rugged Notts, the Trent Vale and the River have a lot of effect on our climate, especially when you throw in the sugar factory and the Trentside power stations, you can have a foot deep up to a couple of miles away, then none in town

    1. It makes life more interesting though doesn't it ... and gives us Brits something to talk about ;-)

  5. If I believed in reincarnation then I rather think I would like to come back as a cat, providing it was in a comfy house where I was much pampered
