Chilly Day

The sunshine has vanished today and there is a real chill in the air, so much so that when I was hoovering near the log burner earlier this morning I thought to myself 'thank goodness it's laid and ready to light'.

I think it will be needed this evening!

In other news .... can you spot the difference between this photo and the one that heads the blog?

I think someone has knocked the bottom half of the sign down ..... I'm saying no more  ;-)

  1. I was visiting Col in hospital and said I shall have to put the heating on tonight, he had no idea it was so cold as the wards are always so warm. How I miss the woodburner on days like this when all it needs is a few sticks just to take the chill off.

  3. Its chilly here in Essex too. Heating went on at lunch time for a couple of hours to take the chill off. Its my fault, I changed our duvet over to the summer one. Where's the blankets!

  7. I refuse putting the heating on, put on my terry dressing gown instead, it was lovely and cosy with thick socks on too!
