Apologies

First I'd like to say a big fat sorry to all those of you who clicked on my Blog link yesterday and got a post that wasn't there.

It was all to do with me getting the Blog onto Bloglovin' and being the techno whizz kid that I'm not, published something I didn't need to and then deleted it, but obviously it stayed on a lot of folks sidebars for the day confusing you all!!

Elaine over at Ted and Bunny has done something similar today to but fear not if you click on her Blog simply click on the name  of it ...Ted and Bunny, rather than the post title and you will get today's post.  Can't you tell we're in cahoots behind the scenes.

Us techno non whizz kids have to stick together :-)

You will notice that yes, the photo above is one off my old camera - again.  I'm still working out how to use the new one to the best of it's ability.  I have now managed to download the instructions so I will be having a read later today after my workout.

Life is only tough for me when it's computer driven - why have they stopped giving out little instruction books with things you buy, don't they realise that some of us just want to sit back with a cup of coffee and read, on paper, about our news toys!!

Well I'm off to jig my stuff with Rosemary Conley, I haven't done this particular Dvd before, in fact I don't think I've ever done one of her workouts, so wish me luck, but it was £1 in a charity shop many moons ago, so I think I'll have a change from my usual one and give it a whirl.

A change is as good as a rest.

After that it's weeding, weeding oh and perhaps a bit more weeding, the plants and weeds here obviously had better weather than we did over last weekend and they are currently winning the battle ...... but not for long!!

  1. I used to use Rosemary Conley DVD's a while back now and they were okay. I even used to go to a Rosemary Conley slimming class for a while where I lost over a stone. Her diet at the time was based on eating low fat foods, combined with exercise, but allowed for daily treats. I found it really easy to follow and still use the calorie counting book now many years later. You used to get an exercise class included in the cost of attending the slimming class which I thought was a really great idea. Someone should do a Zumba diet class and I'd be right there!

    1. It was a pretty good Dvd, but as usual with my first attempt to follow a different one they all went to the left and I went to the right :-)

I listened to her dietary advice bit on the Dvd, she really is all about low fat isn't she, we are the complete opposite, the body runs off fat much better than carbs, its the high carb consumption than is to blame for this eras obesity epidemic, so we eat low carb. (And we never count calories.)

  2. Hi Sue
As fast as our strawberries ripen, they get eaten by mice grrrr. The mice ignore the (peanut butter) baited traps, obviously preferring the strawberries! Do you have a mouse problem? (I assume you do have mice, in view of the chickens) And if so, how do you deal with them? We have an elderly cat, and there are several other cats in the immediate neighbourhood, but as we live on farmland I guess the mice outnumber the cats!

    1. We do get mice and rats but they don't last long, we have two expert mousing cats and a Jack Russell that sees only sport and a quick kill when she spots any animal that doesn't belong here.

Mice soon learn when there's opposition and move on to easier pickings. None of our neighbours have cats now, so I guess it's easier for them to live there.

We did have a sneaky mouse (or two) that got into the loft so we just opened the loft hatch and chucked one of the cats up for a couple of hours, he loved it!!

  3. I'm curious ... why the switch? Nothing has changed for me in terms of the blogs I follow. I'm not even certain what Google Reader was ...help? I couldn't believe all of the (favorites) early exits from Wimbledon this year ... I'm pulling for
    Andy Murray!!

  5. I'm a techno non whizz kid too, there are so many things I see that I would like to do but have no idea how to. And the things I do do I do in a very long-winded way. Sigh. I'm very impressed that you do exercise DVDs. Every so often I think I should do one, but then the thought goes away...

    1. I may have sorted Bloglovin' but my new camera is defeating me.

You need to harness those thoughts before they escape. Once you get started it's good fun, although if you'd seen me this morning doing this one for the first time, your laughter would have burnt off thousands of calories :-)

    1. Well we started out with carDboard ones (he he), but when we used to have a lot more birds, 55 at the top of our game, we had rather a lot of eggs each day and we were going through a lot of the trays so it made sense to have a one off purchase of plastic ones.

I did think the cardboard ones were more aesthetically pleasing - see posh words from a posh cow :-)
