Getting Down to the Nitty Gritty

We really are getting down to the nitty gritty now.

Finding messy drawers .....

... tidying them up.

Opening more ......

... and getting them neat and tidy too.

Putting rubbish into bins and anything excess and saleable into a basket for Sunday's Car Boot sale.

This time we are determined to come home with NOTHING.

So for the first hour we are charging good prices for the newly sorted stuff, and then after that we are reverting to our two tables being a '20p table' and a '50p table' .....

..... and then to make sure nothing comes home at all the final price of everything will be just 10p each.

On the way home if there is anything good left we will drop it off at the Charity Shop recycling bank outside Sainsb*ry's, and then any rubbish will be dropped in our wheelie bin at the end of the drive.  When we pull up outside the house there should be only two paste tables in the back of the car, and hopefully a little tin full of jingly jangly coins and a few folded notes.

Fingers crossed now for good weather.

Have a good weekend folks, you know what we're up too..... what are you doing?

Oh and the penny picture at the top of the post ...... was what I found when sorting through the drawers, every penny counts so it's been popped into our Sealed Pot, hopefully it will encourage lots more to follow it on Sunday afternoon,

Sue xx

  3. Your stationery drawer looks like mine used to - how many pens do we really need? We are (of course) working the weekend, but have the mammoth task of going through all our 'stuff' in the storage unit when we have completed the season here. That will be on a similar scale (if not larger) than your major declutter. Of course, as you are so experienced now, you may like to pop down and help us??????

  4. Oh, now I feel really guilty about my junk drawer and cluttered work bench!

  5. Good luck with your sale, I hope it goes really well for you. It's such a wonderful feeling to declutter, especially when you get something for it as well. I have a mountain of stuff to go to a sale, just as soon as I can persuade other half to look after the children one Saturday morning.

  8. Would love to get rid of stuff at a car boot but the cra boots up here are 5 tables in a village hall - hardly what we're used to down south!
We're collecting and sorting though and will then make the 2 hour trip to a decent sized car boot - hopefully we'll at least cover the cost of petrol lol.

Have fun this weekend and good luck!

  10. I'm working both days this weekend, but then I'll have a weekend of my own as I have Monday and Tuesday off. That time will be spent at the library, doing some cooking and catching up with blogs!
Best of luck at the boot sale.
