Spoons and Pumpkins

I reached up to get a wooden spoon earlier on ... I've been busy making more preserves today, and the colour of one of my spoons really caught my eye.  You can tell what I used it for last, yes it was the Bramble and Apple Jelly.  I wonder what other colours I can get my spoons just by using them  ;-)

In other news .... I came home the other day to find this card left by the Parcelforce  delivery man ....

My parcel was 'left by the pumpkins'.

Yes it was .... it's nice to know he knows his vegetables :-)

And it's good you have a delivery man that knows what a pumpkin looks like. Those are some nice looking pumpkins ;o)

  2. That's a nice delivery.
My spoons are like yours, colour codded. I have specific wooden spoons for sweet and savoury. The sweet are pretty colours and the savoury look like they have been stirring mustard or curry which they have. ;-)

  3. Multi coloured spoons? Yes, I have the same ones. Each one has a differrent purpose. I get very attached to mine. I'm not really a fan of the plastic or silicone ones but they are maybe more hygenic. They've never done me any harm anyway. That is a delightful family of pumpkins you have there. X

    1. Wooden spoons have been proven to be the most hygienic, as long as you wash them in soapy water and rinse them well, then let them dry out completely before using again. A good reason to have a big jug full of lots of spoons .... as if I needed a reason :-)

  5. That made me smile! My postie is really good and leaves parcels for me but in less exciting places :-)

  6. I'm coveting the jug that the spoons are in! Though I really have enough jugs of my own.

    1. There's something about jugs isn't there ... I have far too many, but at least most are in use :-)

  7. My jams have done that to one of my spoons - I rather like the effect! What a nice place to leave the parcel :)

  8. I keep the baking spoon separate - even has baking written on the handle. Have got some curry stained ones though!

The two very pale ones are my baking spoons :-)
