It's been one of those days with lots of little jobs to do, all listed in my diary as 'Jobs to Do', and guess what...... I actually managed to get done most of them done. I even washed the car!! Now anyone who knows me will know that is a rare and wonderous event.
My car is not showroom pristine, it never has been, it's mud splattered on the outside, considering where we live that's to be expected, and the inside is usually to be wearing almost as much fur as the dogs themselves. So because the outside in nice and clean tomorrow the first job on my list is to hoover the inside of the car. Maybe slightly pointless with Suky accompanying me on a trip to Manchester on Friday but hey ho, it will be clean for two whole days :-)
Had you ever noticed that ducks wear dog masks ....Lol !!
Sue xx
I just saw that duck picture on FB - mad! :)
ReplyDeleteThat dog mask idea is a ducky lol ;)
ReplyDeleteWe live on dirt roads so our car gets/is filthy...no point in washing it until spring...then that's it for another year!

Not a lot of point here really but when I visit the city I always feel like the country bumpkin in my muddy car, maybe if it was the 4x4 I could pretend it was 'designer mud' but in a little Vauxhall Corsa I simply can't get away with it :-)

The mask thing made me smile through my cold
ReplyDeleteWell Done Sue. My car has been cleaned and polished inside and out...... by my lovely hubby :-) he did a really good job too, pity its rained today and it got spattered with mud!!

I have 'clean car inside and out' on my monthly housework To Do list and it is very rarely ticked as done but I do make sure it always has a good wash down and spruce up on its' birthday!
ReplyDeleteI can't reach the roof of my car - and my hose won't reach to the car parking area, so I have the car washed by 2 men who do a very good job of washing & waxing for £6. However, I've tried to get it done 3 times this last week but there's always a long queue/wait. So apologies for my very mucky car.
ReplyDeleteThe Sainsburys near us have a team of car washers (between £5 and £10 per clean and wax, you have to negotiate)seemingly it's a 'southern thing' according to my son who works for Sainsburys 'up North'.
DeleteI always know my car is filthy when they DON'T ask me if I want it washing as I park up. It uses too much of their water supply to wash the really dirty cars it would seem :-)

I can't reach the roof of mine either...which is why car-washing equipment for me is bucket, sponges, water, STEPLADDER...! The neighbours do laugh!
DeleteI volunteered by black beast for a wedding a few weeks and it was all made all sparkly and so so clean. Pity it doesnt last long but im still reeping the benefits on the inside.
ReplyDeletePlease can you remind me of the name of the smallholding centre that you suggested we look at. I saved the name in a safe place..... Thanks : )
ReplyDeleteLast time we washed our car, the neighbours came out and asked if we were sprucing it up to sell it... : )
A VERY safe place, just like I do :-)
DeleteSorry I meant to get back to you yesterday, I think this is the one you mean. We're advertising on there at the moment :-)

Are you buying or selling?
Sue xx
Thanks! I'm smallholderwannabe so we're buying but we've been looking for ages (years!)in this area and we're getting a bit disheartened. We just can't seem to be able to afford anything even halfway decent without a mortgage and if we find something we can afford, then there will be no money left to do the repairs needed which knocked the price down in the first place : (
DeleteYou could always hoover Suky as well:)
ReplyDeleteBelieve me I've tried ...... with every pet I have ever had, some are supposed to like it. Mine crawl commando style around the house or sit shaking on the doormat every time I hoover :-(
