Many hands.......

Many hands make light work.......especially when one set of them is using all our big boys toys and power tools.

My son Simon is here to stay for a couple of days and is moving tons of earth and hammering fence posts in with the JCB. Climbing walls and removing overhanging branches of trees with the chainsaw, and is currently attacking the nettles and undergrowth with the petrol strimmer.

What a difference it makes, a backlog of jobs is being ticked off Lovely Hubbys' never-ending list and I am free to get on with my planting.

Todays' job for me is to put membrane down in the fruit enclosure and plant the last of the strawberries, can I bear to pinch off the flowers so they will fruit stronger next year......we'll see.

  1. I'm really enjoying the garden at the moment. I know I only have a courtyard but I think it's making me work harder! On my recent trip to Fowey, I stumbled uopn a gorgeous gardening shop and picked up a cute bird house, we've got cats but I've got just the perfect spot well out of the way! Good luck with those jobs! K x

  4. Wonderful these big boys toys! They're working hard. It sounds like they're working up an apetite too!
I don't think I could nip off the flowers either, well, only half of them!

  6. What is it with boys and their toys? When we moved to France the first thing Simon bought was a mini-digger (I have to admit it has been very useful though!!)
