What a horrible experience and especially seeing the big black Maran flattened in the road. Hope that your new girls are all getting along well now and settling in at "Chicken World". I am very jealous of all those apples on your trees. I have two apple trees and I have got one apple on each of the trees. I'm blaming the squirrels they seem to have caused havoc in my garden this year - more so than my chickens.Louise Stopfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11151477784515959764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468906973954014850.post-33970355344141251042017-07-31T09:52:43.108+01:002017-07-31T09:52:43.108+01:00You should consider getting a couple of geese.Best...You should consider getting a couple of geese.Best guards around, they are excellent at sounding the alert if strangers are about, should settle in fine with the hens with a managed introduction.Sorry to here of your stolen hens.I reckon for every nasty person out there there are ten nice ones:)<br />TANYAFRAMEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16282759091281579221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468906973954014850.post-76685628001273556412017-07-31T08:03:46.641+01:002017-07-31T08:03:46.641+01:00So sad about your lost girls, I hope that no more ...So sad about your lost girls, I hope that no more go missing and that you can get some new ones to take their places in the flock.Amy at love made my homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17111180584250029433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468906973954014850.post-18088917933503234282017-07-31T04:16:00.422+01:002017-07-31T04:16:00.422+01:00 have never had hens stolen, but I have had them k... have never had hens stolen, but I have had them killed by raccoons and hawks. We will have another good apple crop, as always (but then we have 5 trees, plus some young ones coming on). I will have to practice drying them in rings this year or the freezer will be full to the gunnels.Bovey Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13117332471600275100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468906973954014850.post-46841017625819644102017-07-30T18:40:49.771+01:002017-07-30T18:40:49.771+01:00Its awful to think people would go to such lengths...Its awful to think people would go to such lengths to steal them.
