They got the ones at the back near the wall and I got the ones on the sides and front - this was a fair share in my opinion, however, this year a family of pigeons have moved onto the phone wire near us and they are driving me mad! They have all but stripped the bush and I'm spending my life running out chasing them just now! I did get one big bowlful before they spotted them but after that I've had very few. I think next year I too will have to rig up some kind of protection. I enjoy your blog, thank you for sharing. xMarksgranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02870471905590321642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468906973954014850.post-76697836479350186962013-08-20T20:40:54.299+01:002013-08-20T20:40:54.299+01:00Funny how the birds eat the blueberries and not th...Funny how the birds eat the blueberries and not the courgettes isn't it? We had some young blackbirds eating ours last week, but we left them to it - there were plenty left for us. Your harvest looks lovely - and those beautiful eggs, lucky you!CJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14311693185700341580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468906973954014850.post-58693060585267345792013-08-20T18:58:03.360+01:002013-08-20T18:58:03.360+01:00I almost missed the blueberries - well so did you ...I almost missed the blueberries - well so did you it seems! What a disappointment. I am very jealous about the courgettes though; everyone seems to have had a really good crop this year. I grew some a couple of years ago but although there were lots of flowers, many of them dropped off/died off before the courgettes actually appeared. Just waiting for the blackberries to ripen here - it is strange, in Kings Lynn they were really ripe, but here (on south coast now) they are not really ready.
